Rewined Furniture
Branding & Identity Design
Rewined Furniture is a boutique garden furniture and homeware brand. Crafting beautiful pieces from aged wine barrels, Rewined makes one off items to order from serving platters, to bread knives to rocking chairs and record tables.
For such a unique product, the decision to create something totally unique and hand drawn was easy. The lettering style draws from history and vintage typography but draws it together in a new way, looking refurbished just like the furniture it represents.
As well as a full logo, the brand also required a makers mark. A stamp to go on each piece of furniture to mark it as part of the Rewined group. The monogram on the right here is the makers mark, a simplified, bolded version of the full logo designed for small reproduction and metal embossing.
A full colour palette was developed as part of the brand guidelines and these main colours were inspired by the bright stains that 30 years of winemaking had left on the barrels used. Brand Guidelines included the value proposition, typography use, website and collateral recommendations and illustration style visuals. With the brand growing, they goal was create a solid foundation to start from.

I was approached by Paper Moose to work with their Art Director Reese Geronimo on the branding for an exciting new clothing label called 'Murray & Smyth'. The streetwear company is inspired by youth subcultures and vintage workwear brands, particularly when clothing was union made. The task was to create a logo which was entirely unique, sturdy and timeless, taking inspiration from these youth subcultures.
